AMD Senior Vice President and GM of the Computing and Graphics Group, Jack Huynh, shared how AMD is accelerating growth across the client and gaming businesses while expanding into Edge AI, highlighting the company’s leadership and roadmap for the next generation of computing.

Leading the AI PC Era

AI PCs are redefining what’s possible — transforming devices into intelligent partners that think, adapt, and respond in real time, fundamentally expanding the value a PC can deliver. As this inflection accelerates, our Ryzen AI PC momentum continues to build, with more than 250 AI PC platforms now in market — a 2.5x increase year-over-year.¹  Leading OEMs including HP, Lenovo, Dell, and ASUS are expanding their AMD-powered AI portfolios, doubling platform designs from 2024 to 2025.

Our AI compute performance trajectory continues to outpace the industry, with an expected >10x performance increase from the first-generation Ryzen AI to the upcoming “Medusa” family in 2027. Each generation — from “Phoenix” and “Hawk” to “Strix,” “Gorgon,” and “Medusa” — pushes the envelope on performance per watt, NPU capability, and efficiency creating the broadest AI PC portfolio in the market.

These platforms enable secure, privacy-centric, real-time AI experiences in both consumer and enterprise devices.

Gaming: Proven Leadership

AMD’s gaming business continues to be a growth cornerstone:

We created a new category of AAA gaming handhelds that enables the catalog of PC games to be playable in a handheld device, creating an immediate new growth vector for our gaming business.

In consumer graphics, our strategy focuses on delivering the best mainstream gaming GPUs in the market. Our graphics architecture is highly scalable, allowing us to address a broad range of client and gaming workloads.

Looking ahead, AI will fundamentally transform how games are developed and how pixels are rendered. The momentum we’re building across GPUs, combined with our deep console and developer partnerships, positions AMD to continue leading the gaming ecosystem for years to come.

Expanding the AI Compute Portfolio

As AI evolves beyond the endpoint, we’re extending our leadership across the entire compute spectrum— from client end points to the edge.

Unified ecosystem with AMD ROCm™ software enables seamless deployment across Ryzen, Radeon™, and AMD Instinct™ platforms. Next-gen solutions like Ryzen AI Max and Radeon AI Pro support models up to 128B and 500B parameters, enabling real-time, privacy-focused, edge-based AI inference. Investments in edge AI and multi-GPU platforms address the growing demand for localized, intelligent compute.

Accelerating Market Leadership

Looking ahead, our Client and Gaming segment is uniquely positioned for market leadership. From powering AI PCs to driving the next wave of gaming and edge intelligence, our leadership roadmap, deep ecosystem partnerships, and proven track record of execution, we expect to grow revenue at more than three times the market rate over the next three to five years.
